Glaspalast Sindelfingen

The Glaspalast – Arena of Success The “Glass Palace”, whose award-winning architecture was designed by the world-famous architect Professor Behnisch, was opened in 1977. Apart from students of architecture, it is mainly sports enthusiasts who come to visit this architectural icon in the style of the 1970s. In 2015/2016 the hall was refurbished. Beside safety-relevant devices also the glass roof was renewed. Punctually in time for the 40th anniversary, the Glaspalast Sindelfingen now shines in new splendor. Moreover the Glaspalast provides fast internet and a synchronous optical fibre port allows up- and downloads of up to 1 gigabit

As an official Olympics training base and venue for major sporting events, it has seen world records, great victories and the birth of world champions. When you walk through the arena this atmosphere of achievement and success can still be felt, because high-performance sports are at home here even today. Why not come and visit us, and if someone greets you – just imagine, it might be an Olympic champion. Apart from numerous international sporting events (incl. the World Athletics Championships/ Veterans, World Judo Championships/ Veterans, Mercedes-Benz Junior Cup, INTERSPORT Masters), the Glaspalast also regularly hosts company events (Daimler, Audi, BMW, VPV Versicherungen, REWE etc.), congresses, meetings, concerts and trade fairs.
