Holdergassen
The Holdergassen in Marbach am Neckar, the quarter formerly inhabited by vintners and farmers, is the special gem within the town walls. Strolling through the three parallel roads, one notices rows of little, closely-packed houses. Opposite most of them is a corresponding barn, nearly all of which are now converted for residential purposes. Many of the houses still have vines along their walls, from which wine was formerly produced for the owner's private use.
