Museum Arzneyküche
The Museum Arzneyküche ("Apothecary's Kitchen") is located in a former apothecary's laboratory in Bönnigheim, and the focus of its exhibition is on medicinal remedies. The laboratory was only discovered in the year 1987: in a derelict old shed in a garden in Bönningheim. During an inspection in 1987 a huge room built of sandstone blocks with cross vaulting was discovered whose vertex led into a chimney – the apothecary's laboratory. In conjunction with the Swabian Schnaps Museum, the Museum Arzneyküche illustrates the use of alcohol for medicinal purposes. Located in the garden of today's inn, it was conceived as a display window.
