Rems Valley
Welcome to the Rems Valley: striking mountains, excellent cuisine, flourishing viniculture and a chequered history that is reflected in the winding alleyways and grandeur of its towns and villages.
Bordered on the south by the Schurwald forest and on the north by the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Reserve, the Rems flows from the east of the Swabian Alb through slopes covered in natural orchards, before reaching the vineyards of the Lower Rems Valley after Schorndorf.
In the springtime, when the cherry and apple trees are in full bloom, a sea of white blossom attracts countless visitors to the Rems Valley. You can't fail to be enchanted! For example, walk up to the scenic look-out point known as the "Drei Riesen" ("Three Giants") above Beutelsbach – an unforgettable natural spectacle.
