Venusberg Nature Reserve
With 115 hectares the Venusberg Nature Reserve is the largest conservation area in the borough of Böblingen. The Venusberg is one of the prominent hill peaks dominating the undulating shell limestone topography of the Heckengäu region. The Venusberg's plateau affords fine views of the surrounding countryside. The conservation area consists of a broadly structured landscape with cohesive moorland, forest and meadow regions, bushes, hedges and clearance cairns. The nature reserve provides an ideal habitat for a wide range of flora and fauna, including many rare species.
