Stuttgart Museum of Viniculture

The Stuttgart Museum of Viniculture is housed in the historic former wine-press building ("Alte Kelter") in the idyllic wine-growing village of Stuttgart-Uhlbach. The museum’s collection of exhibits tells the story of over 2,000 years of wine-growing in this region.

With the help of the many interesting exhibits on display visitors can learn about the many different aspects of wine-growing in Stuttgart. There are also display boards showing all the wine-growing areas of the world.

The exhibition offers visitors a multi-sensory experience, including the chance to sample some of the wine produced in the area. There are also video clips of local wine-growers talking about the work they do on the steep slopes of their vineyards and at the wine-press. And, of course, there is also an area devoted to the work of the artist Eugen Häfele. This truly is a discovery tour for all the senses!

Why not complete your visit with a wine-tasting session in the splendid, modern Vinothek, overlooking the historical building? The Stuttgart Museum of Viniculture is also available for group hire and for special occasions.

Opening hours:
Thursday - Sunday and Holidays, 11.00 AM - 06.00 PM.
