Winnenden Castle Church with Jakobus Altarpiece

Winnenden Castle Church holds a special artistic gem: an outstanding high altar of great artistic and cultural significance depicting the life and works of St. Jakobus in ornate carving. It was donated in the year 1520 by the Knights of the Teutonic Order as a spiritual focus for pilgrims passing through the city on their way to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
