Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film 2023 - "Animation Connects!"

In 2023, the Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) celebrates its 30th anniversary! "Animation Connects!" is the motto of this year's Stuttgart International Festival of Animated Film, ITFS for short, which will take place from April 25 - 30. For six days & nights, the Stuttgart region will become the global center of animated film.

Founded in 1982, the ITFS has established itself as a globally outstanding event for animated film that presents the enormous spectrum of animation, with its intersections with visual effects, games, architecture, art, design, and music, among others. The ITFS demonstrates how animation and games can combine technological innovation, socially relevant issues, and entertainment to appeal to different target audiences and generations. It celebrates animation in all its creativity and diversity with film screenings, exhibitions, lectures, workshop talks, master classes, VR events and animated live performances.
